Status vocabulary

Every listing carries exactly one of these statuses, shown on its profile:

Unclaimed

Created by Dwellmark from a public register (for example, the SRA Register) or other public source. The business has not confirmed the listing.

Claimed

The business has confirmed it controls the listing and can update it. Claiming confirms identity control; it is not a quality endorsement.

Verified

Dwellmark has additionally confirmed the business’s identity and professional credentials against the relevant register or body. This confirms registration, not competence.

Premium / Featured

Paid placement. Payment never affects status, and neither status nor payment implies any endorsement of quality, competence or suitability.

What a listing is not

A listing is a factual directory record. It is not a recommendation, review, or endorsement. Dwellmark does not verify the quality of any professional’s work, does not carry client reviews, and never presents payment as an indicator of quality. Always carry out your own checks before instructing any professional.

Enquiries and leads

Enquiries are only accepted on claimed profiles with a confirmed contact destination and operational delivery - unclaimed profiles do not accept enquiries through Dwellmark. When you send an enquiry, your details are passed to that professional so they can respond, and are handled under our Privacy Notice. Professionals must not use enquiry data for anything other than responding to the enquiry.

Claims, applications and removal

Professionals can claim an unclaimed listing or apply to be listed. Dwellmark reviews applications and may refuse listings. A business may request removal of its listing at any time by contacting us; we will act on verified removal requests promptly. Register data is used only as published by the regulator.

Acceptable use

Directory data may not be scraped, bulk-exported or used for unsolicited marketing. We may remove listings or suspend accounts that misuse the directory.
